New Moon Virgo - August 2019 - Workaholics Unite
The Virgo New Moon is here, finally, and it's an intense one. This lunar cycle is going to involve quite a bit of hard work and could indicate some medical adventures for some, given Virgo being the 6th house of service, jobs, and health. There's a lot going on here for this one.
The New Moon takes place at 06 Vir 46'49" on August 30th, 2019 3:37:07 AM PDT (10:37:07 AM UTC). This lunar cycle, given the aspects to the New Moon itself, are largely based on our day-to-day tasks and duties, basic jobs (as opposed to career), and our health. Sun conjunct Moon is a given, and it's a new beginning in some ways, and a continuation in other ways (especially for longer-term influences like the previous eclipses).
Speaking of continuations, just like the Leo New Moon last month, New Moon conjuncts Venus and that will give us some boost in seeking more money, more of what we find attractive, though it's not as fun-filled as last month. It's more work, especially since we also have New Moon conjunct Mars, itself conjunct Venus. The fiery planet is amplifying things a good deal, and the New Moon-Mars link is actually stronger than the wider-orb Venus aspect. We're going to be working overdrive for this next month, probably just to keep afloat. On the other side of the aspects, we have Mercury conjunct New Moon as well, and with Mercury in one of its rulership signs, this also points to hard work and moving to get things done. This stellium overall, it's a lot to take in. And it's not the only thing we're dealing with.
New Moon trine Uranus retrograde in Taurus is pretty tight, and this does add some insulation to some of the harsher aspects that are going on. Some sudden upturns or surprises of money related to work could come through. You may find yourself having to dig deep within and come up with a winner during this lunar cycle, so do get creative!
New Moon quincunx Chiron retrograde in Aries is loose in orb, and does point to an awkward, maybe not quite crisis, but some inner healing we may need to do regarding ourselves, our drive to go forward. Something is holding some of us back from going forward and taking care of some tasks that need to be dealt with. Do be careful.
New Moon sesquiquadrate Pluto retrograde in Capricorn is a bit trickier. A sesquiquadrate is more of an "external crisis" but smaller, and less potent than the normal square aspect, but it's still a bit of a devastator in the right circumstances. Pluto in this regard could frustrate our efforts if not careful, as the overall theme here is internalized destruction followed by renewal, and we could see some career shakeups even.
Uranus retrograde in Taurus making its series of loose and tight trines to Mercury, Venus, and Mars in Virgo adds to the New Moon energies, and definitely could be of great help if we can harness this. Be on the lookout for some good opportunities in unexpected places, and plan accordingly to take advantage if at all possible!
Jupiter in Sagittarius apexing a very weak T-Square between Venus in Virgo and Neptune retrograde/Black Moon Lilith in Pisces does add a bit of a minefield to this both spiritually and mentally. We know what we want, but we may be facing some real illusions in how to go about attaining it. Also, there is the danger of fooling ourselves if we're not careful. Do pay attention to your intuition, but also consider the source of that inner voice or that voice inside your head, as it may not be what you think it is. Deceptions are highly abound during this time.
Saturn retrograde continues its conjunction to the South Node in Capricorn during this New Moon cycle, and this does point to some mines from the past primed to go off. Don't count on troublemakers or authority figures from the past going away or overlooking you. It's going to have to be dealt with. Prime yourself for when Saturn goes direct next month, and get ready to defuse some sticky situations.
Asteroids are a bit muted when it comes to this New Moon, at least as far as direct aspects to the New Moon. New Moon conjunct 6157 Prey does caution us to watch our environment and watch ourselves, and not let ourselves be found in the crosshairs. Plenty of predators will be attempting to take advantage, and we need to keep vigilant this cycle.
New Moon sextile 42355 Typhon and 4580 Child in Scorpio is a bit tricky... we could see something related to children in the news cycle that's quite disastrous this lunar cycle, so it's best to say a prayer or affirmation to the higher power you speak to for the safety of children worldwide this cycle. Generally a good call overall, but this one feels like we need to take a few extra moments... especially with the high anxieties going on these days, especially in the United States as the school year starts. Let's hope it's a safe and uneventful year (as uneventful as things can be with some of these Capricorn aspects...)
Overall this is another high-intensity and hard-work-required lunar cycle we're find ourselves propelling into. Uranus retrograde calls upon us to dig deep into ourselves and surprise ourselves and those that would stand against us, while Pluto and Saturn are being quite difficult as usual lately. Many painful lessons from the past are likely as well, so do keep your nose to the grindstone and build a better future after the potential storm. As it's late where I'm at, I'm going to knock off here. Be vigilant.
